Located at the intersection of the 44 degrees N Parallel with the 25 degrees E Meridian, the Teleorman county is located in the Southern part, in the center of the Romanian Plain, being surrounded by Arges and Dambovita Counties in the North , Giurgiu in the East and Olt in the West, and in the South by the Danube, which constitutes Romania's border with Bulgaria on about 90 Km. Between these limits, the county's area is of 5872 km 2, ranging from this point of view between the medium counties and being number 19 in the country.
