Gorj is a county situated in the region of Oltenia, in Romania. The county is located in the South-Western part of Romania, on the middle flow of Jiu. Climate: temperate - continental, with average annual temperatures of 10.2 degrees, in the depressions, in the area of the high hills and of the high mountains.
